  • Pray for Nathan Willems, Twyla Pauls, and Elva Cardona, as they recover from illnesses or surgery.
  • Pray for Amanda Dover, recovering from surgery. Pray for Hezekiah Parker, whose surgery is rescheduled for July 7.
  • Pray for Anissa Almaguer to have good health as she prepares to bring new life into this world! Anissa has been doing iron transfusions to raise her hemoglobin. Pray for strength and wisdom for the doctors supervising her care. Pray for Neida Roa, who is also expecting and recently put on bed rest.
  • Pray for Irene Gonzalez, recovering from a c-section, and for baby Hezekiah. Pray for the family as they mourn the loss of Hazel.
  • Also remember: Marilyn Chappell and other residents in Palm Village Healthcare, Harold Kruger and others in Sierra View, and Mary Salazar
  • Pray for those who have lost loved ones.
  • Pray for Tom Regier, who is in Russia to encourage believers and repair airplanes for ministry use.
  • Pray for those who are seeking employment.
  • Pray for the undocumented in our community as they navigate life under this new administration.
  • Pray for our missionaries: Pablo & Maricela Chavez in Peru, Cecil & Tracy Ramos in Thailand, Jonathan & Joanna Gutierrez in Portugal, and Johnny & Denise Esposito in Cambodia.
  • Pray for peace as violence and war affect so many families and children in Ukraine, Israel, Gaza, in the Middle East, and in parts of Africa.

Connect to Team NextGen

Dulce Gonzalez oversees the Next Gen program at New Life Community for our 5th to 12th grade students. This is a new program for young people at NLC that gives them opportunities to grow their skills as they serve in the church!

The Next Gen program is designed for students in 5th through 12th grade to experience discipleship within our church. Students in this program serve on Sundays in kids’ ministries, on the welcome team for adults, and at the adult check-in stations. This program gives students the opportunity to use their gifts and put them into action.
To participate, students must be in 5th through 12th grade and complete an application process. The application includes the student’s information, parent or guardian signatures (since the students are minors), and parental agreement to help their student complete the program requirements. Students are also required to submit two recommendations as part of the application process.

Additional ways students in the Next Gen program serve include helping with children’s check-in and check-out, assisting teachers in kids’ ministry, and helping in the kitchen. Students must also attend a mandatory meeting every third Sunday of the month, where they receive training and have the opportunity to connect with one another.
What excites me most about working with these students is being able to help them step out of their comfort zones and try new things, knowing that their gifts will flourish.

--Dulce Gonzalez
