- Pray for health and strength for Carolina Coralles and Glen Zimmerman.
- Pray for Amanda Dover, recovering from surgery. Pray for Hezekiah Parker, whose surgery is rescheduled for July 7.
- Pray for Anissa Almaguer to have good health as she prepares to bring new life into this world! Anissa has been doing iron transfusions to raise her hemoglobin. Pray for strength and wisdom for the doctors supervising her care. Pray for Neida Roa, who is also expecting and was put on bed rest.
- Pray for Irene Gonzalez, recovering from a c-section, and for baby Hezekiah. Pray for the family as they mourn the loss of Hazel.
- Also remember: Marilyn Chappell and other residents in Palm Village Healthcare, Harold Kruger and others in Sierra View, and Mary Salazar.
- Pray for those who have lost loved ones.
- Pray for those who are seeking employment.
- Pray for the undocumented in our community as they navigate life under this new administration.
- Pray for our missionaries: Pablo & Maricela Chavez in Peru, Cecil & Tracy Ramos in Thailand, Jonathan & Joanna Gutierrez in Portugal, and Johnny & Denise Esposito in Cambodia.
- Pray for peace as violence and war affect so many families and children in Ukraine, Israel, Gaza, in the Middle East, and in parts of Africa.
Connect to our Interns
Dulce Gonzalez--Hello, my name is Dulce Gonzalez and this is my third year doing the Summer internship at New life Community. This summer I will be taking three summer classes at Reedley College, while doing my summer internship. This summer will be very busy, but I am looking forward to growing more spiritually, meeting new people, making connections, and building stronger connections with the people I have around me. This summer internship has helped me grow so much these last few years. It seems like every year I learn something new and find a way that I can better myself in the process. I cannot wait to see what this year has in store for me and I am also looking forward to having a great summer with Bella, Amelia, and Victor that is full of laughter, fun, and hard work. Some things that I like are Dutch Bros, having conversations with people, playing volleyball, anything that involves art, helping people, and watching Netflix. My favorite verse is Matthew 6:26 - "Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap, nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?”
Isabella Celaya--Hello, my name is Isabella Celaya and this will be my second summer as an intern at New Life Community. I am currently studying biological sciences with the goal of becoming an ultrasound technician. I serve on Sundays at New Life Community with our littlest in the Nursery classroom. Something I am looking forward to is getting closer with the other interns and helping out in any way I can! Something else I am doing this summer is taking classes and babysitting! Some of my favorite things are to sleep, cats, and to go to Starbucks! My favorite verse is 1 Thessalonians 5:17 "Pray without ceasing."
Victor Gonzalez--Hello, my name is Victor Gonzalez and this is my first year doing the summer internship. I will be guided by Pastor Brad and Jessica throughout the summer internship and I am looking forward to building individual connections with both of them to help me throughout my first year of this internship. I am also hoping to gain a stronger spiritual connection and be able to take the initiative to spread positivity in the surrounding community and be able to see growth in the people around me. A list of things that I like/enjoy are food, listening to music, being active playing a sport, and being surrounded by the people I care about. My favorite verse is Isaiah 26:3 - “If we tend to focus on our troubles, the troubles will fill our life lens. But, if we focus on God, He fills our life lens and we stay in his perfect peace. Therefore, when God tells you to move forward, focus on him.”
Amelia Villarreal--My name is Amelia Villarreal, and I am thrilled and grateful for the opportunity to be a summer intern. I am 19 years old and currently a pre-nursing major at Reedley College, aspiring to become a pediatric nurse. I serve as the Early Childhood Development Leader at NLC, where I teach children from 4 years old to 1st grade! In my free time, I enjoy visiting coffee shops and spending time with loved ones. One of the many things I am looking forward to is all the youth and church events this summer. My favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through him who gives me strength,” and Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
