This Month's Memory Verse:
“So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”” John 13:34-35

If you missed the message from Tim Geddert out of Mark 6 this last Sunday, here's one take-away. It was never Jesus' plan to fix every struggle the disciples faced. Jesus sent the disciples across the Sea of Galilee late at night. They were rowing into the storm and getting nowhere fast. They had just helped feed the 5,000+ by serving and cleaning up the extra. And before that, they had just returned from being sent into ministry. They were tired, and physically worn out. The disciples could use some help and rest. But Jesus continued to teach them and use them in ministry.
They are rowing at 3 am against the storm. And Jesus came walking on the water with the intent to pass them by. WHAAATT!! They needed help. Couldn't Jesus see that. Of course He knew. The disciples were terrified and thought Jesus was a ghost. And what was Jesus' response. He said, "It is I." Or better translated, "I AM." And when he entered the boat, the storm was gone.
The point is: Jesus may not FIX all your problems when you call out to Him. He didn't promise to do a miracle to fix everything in our lives. But He did promise to be there with us at all times. He will always be the great I AM! He is always with you. As you walk through the rest of the week, may you experience His peace because of His presence with you TODAY and everyday.
