connect with God's Word

Bruce Smith was recognized as Man of the Year during the Dinuba Chamber of Commerce Annual Gala. Congrats, Bruce!
Ladies at NLC came together to celebrate Irene Gonzalez as she awaits the arrival of twins! The Holy Spirit moved as Eva Morazan and Martha Sawatzky prayed a prayer of blessing over their family. Thank you ladies for showing love and care to Irene's family!
Several of our kiddos enjoyed having pancakes with Pastor Brad on Sunday morning. Great job, kiddos and parents, for reading your Bible Stories! Pastor Brad gifted each child with a cross so they can carry Jesus with them wherever they go.
John Warkentin shared some amazing stories from his travels during the Sunday morning service. If you didn't make it to the Sunday service, be sure to check it out on our website!
Two of our Deacons, Ken Sawatzky and Stan Isaac, took some time to share with our Kids about their personal experiences with communion, what it represents in the life of a believer and what communion looks like at NLC. Thank you for pouring into our kids, Stan and Ken!

connect to God through prayer

- Pray for health and strength for Carolina Coralles and Glen Zimmerman.
- Pray for Amanda Dover and Joshua Aquino, both waiting for new surgery dates.
- Pray for Anissa Almaguer and Irene Gonzalez to have good health as they prepare to bring new life into this world!
- Pray for Sandy Sorber as she continues to recover well from surgery.
- Also remember: Marilyn Chappell and other residents in Palm Village Healthcare, Harold Kruger and others in Sierra View, and Mary Salazar.
- Pray for those who have lost loved ones (family and friends of Ann Enns, Larry Smith, Karen Madrid's aunt, and others) and those attending the GriefShare support group.
- Pray for safety and peace of mind for the students who attend schools in our surrounding communities.
- Pray for those who are seeking employment.
- Pray for the undocumented in our community as they navigate life under this new administration.
- Pray for our missionaries: Pablo & Maricela Chavez in Peru, Cecil & Tracy Ramos in Thailand, Jonathan & Joanna Gutierrez in Portugal, and Johnny & Denise Esposito in Cambodia.
- Pray for peace as violence and war affect so many families and children in Ukraine, Israel, Gaza, in the Middle East, and in parts of Africa.

Connect to the Home Resource Center
Beds, Furniture, household items--what do they have to do with sharing the good news of Jesus Christ?
The basic needs of everyday life come into view as I look around my home and see these items. They provide comfort, security, and a place of belonging. But what if I didn't have them or have the means of providing them for my family? What then? Is there anyone who sees this or even cares?
This is where NLC's Home Resource Center begins to shine light on a God who sees and cares for every part of our lives no matter who we are or where we have been. These items open doors and bring hope to families and individuals who may have very little hope left. As beds are brought in and assembled, we hear excitement in children's voices and see helpful little hands wanting to make a bed that they soon will call theirs. Then a sofa and recliner are brought in making a once empty space warm and inviting. A dining table is placed in the kitchen as a mom runs her hand across the top of it and tells us that it's perfect.
With all the excitement of delivering items into a home, more often than not, there are tears. Tears that reflect unworthiness. The generosity given is overwhelming to the families. In this moment NLC volunteers become the hands and feet of Jesus bringing hope for a brighter future. It's meeting the basic needs in a home that often causes them to ask us why we would do this. And that's when we tell them of the care and provision of a loving God!
The HRC has served 11 families since the beginning of the New Year--Twenty beds, seven sofas, ten recliners, nine dining tables, nine dressers, bedding, towels, dishes, pots, frying pans, brooms, mops, buckets, and cleaning supplies. All of these items and so much more are what God is using to move NLC into the lives of the people in our community who need Him.
Everyone can be a part of the ministry in some way. The Home Resource Center always needs donated household items, volunteer time, financial support and prayers. Pray for strength, energy and safety as we move furniture. Pray for the hearts of the ones we will serve and that our words and actions reflect Jesus.
Join us and become a part of the HRC ministry today!
