Connect to Worship

Eva Morazan faithfully serves on Sunday mornings on our Worship Team. I asked her what worship means to her.
Here’s what she shared:
My name is Eva Figueroa Morazan, and I currently serve on the NLC Worship Team on Sunday mornings. Being part of the Worship Team is a great honor and privilege. It’s an opportunity to demonstrate gratitude to the One who is worthy of all praise and glory.
To me, worship is a form of communication with God the Father and Jesus the Son. It’s a prayer expressed through song. No matter what I’m going through, there is always a prayer that can be sung and lifted to God in the form of worship.
I love to worship—whether it’s in my kitchen or while driving and running daily errands. Worship has been a significant part of my spiritual growth and relationship with God and His Son, Jesus. It has strengthened and encouraged me through both hard times and joyful seasons. His Holy Spirit encourages me to keep seeking God’s will and His promises, to trust Him, and to keep my faith in Him—because He is faithful. Most of all, I believe He is patient.
I deeply appreciate everyone’s patience on the Worship Team and am thankful for the opportunity to worship alongside each of you. I’m also incredibly grateful for our church family. My prayer is that as we worship together, we would experience God’s presence and be drawn closer to Him.
I know I don’t have the best voice, but I like to believe it’s my heart doing all the singing—and that God’s Holy Spirit is moving through me in gratitude and worship.
“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.”
—Psalm 150:6
Your humble servant,
Eva Morazan
