Giving Update from Treasurer

END OF FINANCIAL YEAR SUMMARY
I am pleased to share with you a positive report about our church's end of year finances.
The budget we had all approved at the beginning of the year had originally projected we would end the year with a $72,500 deficit. However, our giving enabled us to end the year better than we had anticipated. Our ending deficit was instead only $38,800!
I want to thank you for helping us end the year so well.
Blessings to you.
Chuck Boldwyn, Treasurer

Current Sermon Series

Pastor Mark will be preaching through Ephesians in September and October.
It's a sermon series on the Church: YOU BELONG HERE!

Please take some time to read the book of Ephesians in your New Testament.
The average reader can read the whole letter in about 30 minutes.

The focus of the letter is about the blessing of being united with Christ as a church.
In fact, it is our unity with each other IN CHRIST JESUS where all of our blessings are found.
It's also the way God shows off his amazing grace to the world.
There's so much more. Join us on Sundays and bring your Bible or device to see it for yourself!

Prayer

  • Remember many who are mourning the loss of Queen Elizabeth II.
  • Thank the Lord for successful surgeries for Eugene Enns and Jane Jantzen's mother, Marjorie Elrich, this week.
  • Pray for smooth arrangements with classroom space and registrations as Good News Clubs begin at our adopted school, Jefferson Elementary, next week.
  • Johnny & Denise Esposito are back from SE Asia. Pray for their travels over the next 3 months to supporting churches and speaking opportunities.
  • Many people are facing housing issues in our community. We thank God for the opportunity to support people through our Home Resource Center, and for our partnership with Open Gate. Pray for more adequate low-cost housing in our community.
  • Pray for NLC, that we would feel the desire of the Holy Spirit within us toward greater unity, deeper compassion, and reconciled relationships so Christ Jesus is glorified.
  • Thank God for his spirit of generosity demonstrated in our giving, and ask Him what more he might want to do through you.

Mark Isaac
