PRAYER

Pray for Joanna Espinoza Brooks, our nursery coordinator. She lost her mother over the weekend. The mass and memorial service will be on Tuesday, January 31st, 10 a.m. at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Dinuba.
Continue praying for Cheryl Jackson at Open Gate as they hold her father's memorial service next Tuesday morning, January 24th.
Pray for those fighting illness and elevated levels of anxiety recently. Several in our church family continue to battle long-term illness and cancer treatments. Remember JR Southard, Glen Zimmerman, Mike Naylor, and others who may have shared with you personally.
Continue praying for Joshua "Chinoh" Aquino as we approach his affirmation as an Elder at NLC next Sunday.
Pray for someone to join the NLC staff as our Connections Specialist.
Praise the Lord for the wonderful celebration of John & Geri's lifetime of mission last Sunday!
Remember the Chavez family in Peru as political tensions continue to mount. They are also looking for a family vehicle.
Pray for the junior campers preparing to go to Hartland Winter Camp in February. Pray that the children--some of whom were recently baptized--will grow in their relationship with Jesus and each other. Pray for their leaders.
Thank God for the gifts of the Holy Spirit given to you and each member of the body at NLC. Ask God how he might want you to use your gifts to build up the body.
The cities of Dinuba and Goshen are still reeling from two deadly shootings. Pray that the presence of God through his Holy Spirit and Christians who know them will bring survivors the hope of Jesus.
Pray for Christian Worship Center--Life, and pastors Angel & Dee Menchaca. This is a dynamic church family with two locations: downtown Dinuba and Cutler.

10 Ways to Connect at NLC

Come to Connecting Point at 9:30 on Sunday mornings and introduce yourself to someone you don't know well over coffee and snacks.
Join a Sunday morning class at 8:30 or 11:15.
Let a leader know you'd like to help on a ministry team, in the kitchen, helping pick-up or deliver furniture through the Home Resource Center, or any of the ways in the Spiritual Gift and Ministry Fit resource.
Sit by someone new in the worship service or at the Family Worship Night.
Definitely come to the Church Campout! Whether you come for all of it or just a day or two, you'll come back with new friends and great memories!
Invite someone to lunch after church. Lots of good restaurants around, and you're almost sure to see others you know already there.
Let the Elders know you'd like to host a Life Group, or participate in a Life Group. We'd like to get those started and are looking for hosts!
Make sure the church office has your correct mobile number and email address so you get the latest information.
Join the Men's or Women's Bible studies on Tuesday mornings.
