NLC Connect - September 25, 2024
connect with God's Word
We had just over 20 kids and youth attend our Hartland Winter Camp interest meeting. If you have a 4th-11th grader that is interested in attending Winter Camp 2025, please contact Jessica Aquino. We are so grateful for the ongoing support of our NLC church family in sending our next generation of church leaders to camp!

Connect to more of Jesus
“He must increase, but I must decrease.” John 3:30 (ESV)
I am reminded of John 3:30 when I read the words of Beth Frank. She said, "More Jesus, less me, is the answer to every problem in life that I could ever face." What does "More of Jesus, less of me" look like in our world? It may look like:
What about you? What does "More of Jesus, less of me" look like for you? As you take time to reflect on what this means for you this week, read the words of this hymn written by Eliza Hewitt.
More about Jesus by Eliza Hewitt:
More about Jesus would I know,
More of His grace to others show;
More of His saving fullness see,
More of His love who died for me.
More about Jesus let me learn,
More of His holy will discern;
Spirit of God, my teacher be,
Showing the things of Christ to me.
Refrain:
More, more about Jesus,
More, more about Jesus;
More of His saving fullness see,
More of His love who died for me.

- Trusting Jesus in uncertain situations and worrying less about me.
- Praying when tense situations arise rather than lashing out at others.
- Listening for the Holy Spirit more and talking less.
- Thanking Jesus for the ways He has blessed me instead of complaining about the things I don't have.
- Taking the time to pause and listen to others rather than insisting everyone listens to my opinion.
- Getting to know who Jesus really is so I can let go of the parts of me that don't reflect his character.
- Reaching out to the people Jesus ministered to rather than sitting in my comfort zone.
