connect with God's Word
Our memory verse for July reminds me of the passage that was the focus for SOAR Central Valley this year. John 13:34-35 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Can others tell that we love God by the love we have for each other? As we learn this new verse, I hope that we will take it as a challenge to love others with the same love given to us by God!

connect to Christ, our Healer
Ephesians 4:2,3 Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other's faults because of your love. Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace.
We had such an amazing service this past Sunday. It is such a joy to see God's people worshipping Christ in the unity of the Spirit and His presence working in our midst was undeniable! Our congregation was singing songs unto the Lord in different languages and it was a beautiful picture of what heaven will be like when all of God's people from every age and all parts of the world will worship the Lord together as one on the other side of eternity. It was sincere and spiritually moving.
We rejoice in also witnessing a brother in Christ, James Anthony Yrigollen, following the Lord in believer's baptism. His powerful testimony was such a wonderful profession of God's healing power in his life. He confessed his struggles of brokenness and painful dark thoughts. Our church family chose to be the hands and feet of Christ, brothers and sisters whom he could confide in to pray with, to cry with, to worship with and to compassionately answer the tough questions of God, life and spiritual truths. This brings to my mind the beautiful passage of James 5:16, "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that you may be healed. (KJV) The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results." (NLT) It is so comforting to know that throughout the years, and more especially during this time of transition, our church family has been praying for one another. Several have come and shared their hearts with church leadership and we sense God's Spirit bringing our church family through a time of healing and restoration. We, as the elders, want to encourage our church family that we are here to pray together with you, listen intently to you, passionately worship Christ among you, and consider it an honor to serve alongside with you.
As we seek God's healing and restoration in our own personal lives, we would like to know how we can pray for you, build you up, and help to be better ministers to you. We also want to encourage you, as disciples of Christ, to do the same for others.
Because of Christ's love,
Joshua "Chinoh" Aquino
