connect to Vacation Bible School

When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.
Psalm 56:3

This verse was the theme for our 2024 Vacation Bible School. We had an amazing week! Just over one hundred children, youth and adults were present. We were once again blessed to have our sister church Templo de Oracion helping us each day. The children and volunteers raised around 250 dollars for MCC school kits--such an inspiration! 17 children and one adult dedicated their lives to Jesus. There are so many great things to report from this week.
I wanted to share a story to show how God can and does speak to our little ones here at New Life Community Dinuba. The theme of our second night was "Trust God to give us Peace." The Bible story the children heard was "Jesus calms the storm." The last night of VBS one of our first graders approached me. She said "I need to tell you something." She began to share about a time when her dogs were startled and ran away. She was very sad. She said "I was so scared so I pray to God for help." She said "God gave me peace and He gave me my dogs back. I was happy. See what God did for me?" I love to hear how our young children are actively living out their faith and trusting God in uncertain circumstances.
What are you facing this week that seems uncertain? Take it to the Lord so you can also say "See what God did for me?"
