Connect to God through Faithfulness
Hebrew 10:25 (NLT) And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.
Our monthly memory verse exhorts us to be faithful to the gathering of church. We, as God's church, are so precious to the Lord and Christ has proven his love for us as His church bride by dying on the cross and purchasing us with His precious blood. It is so important for us to be faithful to church; not only because it's a command from New Testament Scripture, but also because this is a time when we all can experience God's presence together, encounter the moving of the Holy Spirit with each other, and participate in worshipping Christ as a church family. I am so grateful for all the wonderful ministries that take place during church gatherings, whether it is the adults studying the Bible during Sunday school classes or in the worship service in the family center, or youth and children being taught the Word of God in the children's wing and youth classrooms; and yes, even the little toddlers and infants being lovingly cared for in the nursery. All these ministries are equally important because each individual in attendance is an eternal soul that our Savior loves so dearly. In response to Jesus' faithful love to us (1 John 4:19), let us stay committed and faithful to Him and express our love and gratitude by following His compassionate command of meeting together as a church family (John 14:15).
