Happy New Year!

The word “opportunity” comes from a Latin phrase “ob portus” referring to a favorable wind at a port. It was used to describe the times when the wind and tide were best suited for making a journey by ship. A New Year provides us with the same opportunity.
This is a favorable time to take a new step in following the Lord.

There are many ways you can take a step forward in your relationship with Jesus, in relationship with his church, and as part of the church family. Please take time this New Year to ask the Lord how he wants to move you forward as his follower. Where would the Lord like to lead you toward greater health? Toward greater service? Toward greater understanding and faith? Toward greater love?

Happy New Year!
Now is the opportune time (2 Corinthians 6:2) to take a new step forward with Jesus!
