connect with God's Word
SOAR week was phenomenal! Our young people learned how to share God's unfailing love through unique acts of service to each other and our Community. One of the highlights of the week was walking through the neighborhoods surrounding our church property and praying over the homes. Several people asked our team to pray over them. Our young people learned that God has equipped them with the right tools to live a missional life. We thank God for the lives He transformed! We look forward to seeing the fruit of all the seeds that were planted. Thank you New Life Community for supporting our young people in this endeavor. Your earthly investment is yielding eternal fruit!! As you read their testimonies here and listen to them on Sunday, I pray that we as a Church will continue to see the impact of living missionally here in Dinuba and all around the world.

SOAR HIGHLIGHTS FROM OUR NEXT GEN INTERNS
Isabella Celaya
My experience with SOAR will always be something I am passionate about because it brought me closer to not only God but the people around me also. SOAR brought me out of my comfort zone. It helped me get more involved and put myself out there to help others get closer to him. I believe it helped me want to get more involved in the community to help others learn about God and his love. It has improved my relationship with the people around me at church because I am now seeing God has put me in this position to show others about him and to get them to build a relationship with the Lord. It has also improved my relationships outside of church because now I am more patient with his plan for me and others in my life, I'm learning to trust in him rather than my own plan for myself.

My experience from soar will forever impact my relationship with the Lord and with people from my community. I was able to build stronger relationships and gain more of an understanding on what it means to follow the Lord with your whole heart. Throughout Soar I felt an overwhelming amount of love from everyone. Soar has definitely helped open me eyes to view the world with a “kingdom Lens”. Now that I have experienced soar it has lead me to want to serve more in my church community especially in the children's ministry. Something from Soar that will always stick with me is that the youth and teens are not our future leaders, they are our leaders now.

Some highlights of my SOAR week are interacting with people from our church and people from other churches. I loved doing outreach activities for the community but what I liked the most was going out into the community and inviting people to our church for activities that we are doing so they can bring their children. I think that my favorite highlight was when I was inviting people into our church, I came across a church and I saw cars and I walked in. I looked for someone to give the slip to and I came across this man that invited me in and made me feel welcome. When I gave him the slip he was happy to know that another church was welcoming their people to other churches for activities.
SOAR impacted my church ministry involvement because it opened my eyes to the need that people have and that there are things that we can do to help our community. Working in open gate showed me that little things truly matter and I feel like there is more that we can do for them and other people in the community. This showed me that we need to get more involved in our community and that is the goal. I plan to help the community more by making more community outreach days with the CREW and Middle school ministry class because we can all do more for people in need around our community and more.
SOAR improved my relationship with youth because I was able to learn more about them on a deeper level and we were able to make connections with them and memories that we will never forget. I feel the same way about other churches because we make memories that we will never forget and it is something that we can look back on and laugh about.
