PRAYER
- Tom Regier is in Uganda. One plane’s engine is in, and Tom is rebuilding parts needed to repair the second plane.
- John Warkentin returns from Thailand, May 4th. Praise the Lord he has been able to travel to various parts of the country, blessed by the stories he’s been able to capture on video.
- Continue to pray for those receiving nursing or memory care: Olga Brandt, Chris Holmen, Vicky Barkman, Marilyn Chappell, Bob Martin, Rosella Isaak, Luella Unruh and Alice White.
- Glen & Peggy Zimmerman were able to be present in church last Sunday! Praise the Lord and continue to pray as they both heal.
- Greg Jantzen has started physical therapy after shoulder surgery. Laurie Isaac will have a second surgery on her shoulder on May 16th.
- Marilyn Chappel’s right leg was amputated above the knee to prevent the possibility of sepsis. Pray for her as she recovers from the surgery, and for her and Terry as they desire her healing.
- Pray that the spot on Ruth Serrato’s lung will be gone, with no further concern.
- Pray that Mary Fenske’s knee will be healed.
- Remember others with ongoing health issues: JR Southard, Lois Brittel, Brian Smith, Galen Wiest, Kelly Friesen’s sister-in-law, Dana, and Ron Brown’s sister, Bonnie.
- Remember Erick Parra at Teen Challenge. He has joined their choir.
- Continue to pray for peace in Ukraine.
- Pray for Multiply workers “J & M” in South Asia as they create and apply training programs for Christian teachers, and mobilize the national churches in this region for mission. They also have ongoing health concerns.
- Pray as NLC Kids looks to hire a Nursery/Childcare Coordinator, and a new director. Praise the Lord for the opportunities we have as a church to minister to infants, children, and teens.
Contact Nori Naylor to get a street assignment for prayerwalking. The weather's great!

Deacons Reaching Out
New Life Community is blessed to have 39 single senior adults over the age of 60, with 14 of those adults over 90 years old and three over 100 years old this year! Our oldest member is turning 105 in November! Health and living situations can make it difficult or impossible for these people to attend church, and the pandemic brought additional complications to gathering or even meeting with others.
Prior to the pandemic our New Life Community deacons and pastors delivered the church’s weekly bulletins to many of our senior members and attenders. We don’t produce bulletins any longer, though NLC has continued sending monthly newsletters and this weekly pastor’s letter by mail. Starting in May and into June, our deacons will be making calls and visits to our senior single adults. Their hope is to bless each one by reconnecting, listening for current needs, and sharing the glorious hope of Jesus.
Pastor Mark will continue making visits to retirement communities, and will also be preaching at Palm Village on Thursday, May 12th, at 6:00 p.m.
