Empowered for His Purpose - Philippians 2:13
“For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.”
Philippians 2:13 NLT
This week's encouragement comes from the book of Philippians, in a part of Paul's letter to the Christians in Philippi. It is a powerful reminder of how God is always with us, how powerful He is, and how He works through us to achieve His divine purpose.
First, it's important to know that God lives inside of us. When we have given our lives and our will over to His care. He is shaping us, molding us, teaching us, supporting us, and even making us right. He doesn't just give us a guide to life and stand back to see how we do. God is involved in every way. He gives us both the desire and the ability to do His will.
Second, keep in mind that God works in us to bring our wills into line with His. On our own, our selfish wants and the things of this world are likely to lead us astray. But God is always making us better by matching our wants with His holy and perfect will. It's a slow and steady change that needs us to “let go and let God” and for us to receive His grace.
Lastly, His power in us is what makes it possible for us to do what He wants us to do. Even if we want to help, we can't do anything on our own. God is the one who gives us the power, courage, ability, and resilience we need to live a life that is in line with His plans.
This reminds us to depend on God and trust that His presence inside us will guide and help us. As we give up control and let Him do His work in us, we line up with His will.
God is always working in you, whether you're going through a spiritual low or a time of great blessings. Give your life and will over to His care, let His power work in you, and watch as His plans for your life come to pass.
This weeks prayer:
Father, we thank you for your ongoing work within us. Help us to yield our will to yours and to trust in you. Strengthen us, Father, to live out your purposes, and guide our steps according to your divine plan. We ask that you continue to mold us, and make us into the men and women that you want us to be. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Last Weeks Opioid Awareness, Narcan training and distribution!
Last week Celebrate Recovery and Broken Chain’s JC had an event at New Life Community in Dinuba. It was an awesome time of fellowship and community. Worship music was provided by Steve Montez and his Wife Melissa. Brian shared a short message on how the Bible correlates, and how we as believers in Christ should address the Opioid epidemic. Amber shared about her own experience with Narcan and how it has given her another chance to get to know Jesus!
We had George come in and do training on how to administer Narcan. George has been in the EMS field for over 30 years and has experienced the front lines of this horrific epidemic. He had researched and gave the statistics on overdoses for the first quarter of this year in and around Reedley and Fresno CO.
CR and BCJC Liaisons and volunteers handed out upwards of 90 Narcan kits and approx. 50 CPR masks.
Thank you to all that came out and were a part of this event.
