Faith Over Fear - Trusting God's Promises
Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.
Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you.
I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
Isaiah 41:10 NLT
Every day, we face things that make us feel scared and worried. Whether it's a doctor's report, a scary news story, job stress, or personal problems, life gives us plenty of reasons to be afraid. But God's word says something different.
In Isaiah 41:10, God gives us a lot of peace by telling us not to be afraid or upset. Why? Because He is with us. He is the Creator of the universe. What a wonderful promise! We can stand strong on this truth when fear comes to visit.
God is not just an observer of our lives. He helps us and gives us strength. He says that when we feel weak and helpless, He will support us and hold us up. This is what a loving and caring Father promises. His strong hand keeps us going and helps us stand up, even when we are afraid.
The most important thing is to turn our hearts toward trust instead of fear. Faith is not just a thought or an opinion; it is a deep trust in God based on His Holy Word. Living by faith means that we believe what God says about us more than what the world, other people, or even our own minds tell us.
No matter what hard thing is happening to you today, remember God's promises. He is with you, He is your God, and He strengthens, helps, and pulls you up. Choose faith over fear and put your trust in what God has said.
Prayer:
Father, I'm grateful that you promised to be with me, help me, and support me. Help me live my faith every day by putting my trust in your word instead of my fears. I give you all of my worries. Lord, give me peace and keep my thoughts on you. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
Looking Inward:
What are the things you're afraid of right now? How can you show your faith in these areas, knowing that God is with you, helping you, and keeping you up?
