Relying on God's Strength
Isaiah 41:10 (NIV)
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
There are times in life when our faith and strength are put to the test. It can be hard on us to deal with the growing stress of our daily lives, the shock of unplanned events, and the pain of losses. During these times, God kindly asks us to put our trust in His strength and faithfulness and let Him carry our loads.
Isaiah 41:10 tells us that our God will not leave us, but will instead strengthen us. These are not just words; they are a promise from God. In spite of our fears, God tells us not to be scared because He is with us. He is our God, and He will make us strong. There is a strength that is beyond our understanding—a strength that renews, lifts, and supports us.
Don't ever think that you have to depend on your own strength or knowledge alone. God wants us to depend on His unending power. It is when we are weak that His power shines through. When we depend on God's strength, we not only get stronger, but we also feel His love, peace, and closeness in ways we might not have had before.
Let's remember this promise and lean on it when things get hard. We can always get strength and help from God. In times of chaos and doubt, let us take comfort in the fact that God is lifting us up with His righteous right hand.
I initially believed that when I gave my life and will over to the care of God again back in July of 2017, that things would align and my life would become easier. I was really wrong. Life is difficult. Life is painful. However, for the first time in my life I have experienced a greater sense of peace and serenity, in and around my life than I have ever experienced. So when the hard time comes, and they do come, I can lean on God and He has always provided for me.
This week's prayer:
Father, Thank you for always being there for me and being strong. You are always ready to hold me up with Your righteous right hand, Lord. Remind me that I don't have to carry these loads by myself. I trust you. May your will be done in my life just as it is in heaven. Amen.
